Due to a current material supplier shortage, we needed to have a replacement tire for our customers, rather than shorting supply of the current road race tire. In an effort to ensure that Hoosier Tire has sufficient supply of our 13” Cantilever Production Classed tire for the upcoming SCCA National Championships (Runoffs) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in September, we will be releasing a newly designed race tire for this class of car.
The Tread Compound remains the same with our race and track proven R35B compound released earlier this year; however a new construction has been implemented to offer higher cornering speeds and grip, less fall off, improved braking and steering feedback. With the combination of the updated R35B compound and new carcass construction, drivers will feel more confident and inspired throughout the road course at Indy.
This new Item 43172 – 20.0 x 8.0 – 13 R35B tire will replace our current Item 43171 – 20.0 x 8.0 -13 R35B going forward. This new tire will be available the Week of September 11th.
